Welcome to my page! I graduated in 1986 from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls with a teaching degree in Mathematics and Speech Communication. I started teaching for the Faribault School District in 1986-1987, and I have been teaching here ever since! 2010-2011 will mark my 24th year of teaching. During that time I have taught Geometry, Algebra I, Math Skills, Consumer Math, Standards Math, Pre-Algebra, Integrated Algebra / Geometry I and II, Public Speaking, and Speech Communication in the Workplace. I am currently teaching Geometry and Intermediate Algebra Support.
I'm so excited! I am very excited about the 2011-2012 schoolyear, and I am especially eager to meet and work with all of my new students. This year, the mathematics department will be using the Holt mathematics curriculum. The Holt curriculum is a nice blend of a traditional mathematics curriculum with an integrated curriculum. I am excited to be teaching both Geometry and Intermediate Algebra Support this year.
A special message to parents of my students: If you ever have an questions or concerns regarding your student, please do not hesitate to call or email me. I firmly believe that by communicating and working together (student, teacher, and parent), we can make this schoolyear successful for your student.
