Paul H. Johnson is an English teacher and theatre director at FHS. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Mayville State University in English and taught at Larimore for five years and Grafton for nine years in North Dakota. He worked at Moorhead State University in their Straw Hat Summer Stock Theatre for two years. After he received his Master’s Degree in theatre from the University of North Dakota in 1998, he and his family moved to Faribault to teach English Language Arts and direct the theatre program in the then new Michael J. Hanson Performing Arts Center. He is a published playwright, a member of the American Alliance of Theatre in Education, the Theatre Group, National Council of Teachers of English, a former board member of Larimore, Grafton, and Faribault Area Community Theatres, and he has directed over eighty productions in his career. He enjoys reading, writing, and working outside building something with wood, doing yard work, or playing with the dogs in the back yard.
