Mark Reuvers
Lincoln Elementary School

My name is Mark Reuvers and I have been the Lincoln speech-language therapist since December, 2005. Originally in 1999, when I started teaching in Faribault, it was as an early childhood special education teacher. I also have a license as a speech-language therapist which served as a nice compliment to my teaching position. Early in my Faribault career, the Faribault School District was unable to find enough speech-language therapists to fill all their positions so I have been reassigned a number of times and have had the opportunity to work with a variety of levels including preschool (homebase, centerbase, Head Start, daycares), elementary, middle school, and high school.
Before starting my teaching position in Faribault, I have worked as a speech-language therapist in the Southland and Montgomery-Lonsdale school districts, a 4-H county extension agent in Richland county (Wisconsin), and a high school/adult agriculture teacher in Sierra Leone (West Africa), while serving in the Peace Corps.
(As a side, my early post high school education was in agriculture which explains my early career choices.)
I also went through the special education program in Faribault as a student and am glad to be able to work in the same area where I was once a student.
