I am originally from Iowa. About 14 years ago, I got married and moved to Jackpot, NV. When I first arrived to Jackpot, I was a secretary at Jackpot Combined School and had that position for about 5 1/2 years. During that time, I went back to school and received my elementary education degree through Sierra Nevada College. A few years ago, I received my master's degree in "Integrating Technology in the Classroom" through Walden University.
My husband and I have two kids, not of the human-type, but of the feline-type. I enjoy reading, listening to music, playing the piano, learning the organ and being with my family and friends. Most of all, I love teaching!
Mission Statement to Each of My Students:
My mission is to promote positive relationships with all students to help create a caring and safe environment that encourages mutual respect. I will help students to believe that if they put their mind to a task that they can accomplish anything to encourage lifelong learning. I will prepare students for their learning by holding students accountable for their learning, will refuse to let students fail, and put the responsibility for passing back on the student.
