Welcome to Team 701's Social Studies Homepage!
My name is Mrs. Johnsrud and I love teaching 7th grade World Geography! This is my passion, to travel and learn about people and the places they live. I came to Faribault Junior High School in 1993 as a 7th grade Geography teacher, and so am back to my "roots" again. As a result of various staffing needs and program changes I've also taught 8th grade World History and 6th grade Minnesota History on various teams including our historic Environmental Team here at the Middle School.
I grew up in Rochester and later started my teaching career at Mayo High School, John Adams & Willow Creek Junior High. I personally was a JM Rocket, but now am a proud FALCON! I was a big "bandee", and so I get particularly excited to hear and see our FMS & FHS marching bands. Having been a high school and college athlete, I was able to continue that interest by coaching middle school basketball, volleyball, and track for many years before having children of my own.
I love to teach and consider it my calling, as I enjoy learning about anything and everything. I enjoy the outdoors including camping, walking, biking and being on the water. Working with young people keeps me motivated and excited about life. I am proud of all that we have to offer here at Faribault Middl |
