I taught Special Education for 8 years and returned to the regular classroom for my last 12 years. During my first 20 years in education, I coached football, hockey and baseball, as both a head coach and an assistant coach. I have taught at the Junior High School and Senior High School levels throughout my career at various school districts. I am married to Kris, a Spanish teacher at Owatonna Middle School, and have two step-children, Kate (21) and Erik (17). In my free time, I enjoy playing golf, fishing, and cross country skiing, as well as, taking the early morning "Death March" with our Golden Retriever, "The Nim." I plan to retire at the end of the 2014-2015 school year.
